Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

**Title** Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit **Requirements** - RN licensure: Georgia or Compact required at time of submission - Minimum 2 years RN experience - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS - Preferred: prior experience with Epic charting - Key clinical skills: - Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation - Management of cardiac drips (no titration) - Peripheral and central line care - Blood product administration - Non-invasive airway management - Isolation precautions/PPE - Experience in PCU/stepdown care and medical-surgical monitoring **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced, throughput-focused environment. - Monitor patients on hardwire telemetry for dysrhythmias and other medical conditions. - Administer medications and manage IV infusions as per protocols. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. - Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in patient management. - Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and health management. **Compliance / Notes** - Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) - Full compliance required to start on time; incomplete compliance may delay start by 2 weeks (orientation schedule). - All compliance documents due by Tuesday prior to start. - RTO policy: all RTO must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO requests post-offer or onsite. - Orientation/modules: non-billable orientation hours apply and are determined by contract length.
