Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

**Title** PCU/Stepdown RN – Neuro/Stroke **Schedule** - Ratio: 1:4 days/nights/weekends - Weekends: Every other weekend **Assignment Details** - Contract Length: 8 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: Not specified **Requirements** - Licensure: GA or Compact RN license required - Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience; 1st-time travel RNs accepted - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH - Skills: Continuous telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, management of cardiac/vasoactive drips, neuro/stroke care, non-invasive airway support, IV/PICC/central line care **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide nursing care for patients in a PCU/stepdown setting, focusing on neuro and stroke patients. - Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to protocols. - Participate in patient and family education regarding care plans and procedures. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. **Compliance / Notes** - Compliance documents due by the Tuesday prior to start. - Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions only.
