Registered Nurse (RN) - OR

**TITLE** Registered Nurse - Operating Room **SCHEDULE** Days/Evenings, 5 x 8s, M - F 6:00 AM - 8:30 PM. Open to 4 x 10s. Schedule and start times rotate. **ASSIGNMENT DETAILS** Contract Length: 10 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40.00 **REQUIREMENTS** - Current RN license in state of practice: Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification: Preferred - One year previous full-time experience in the operating room: Required - Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience: Required **ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES** - Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists and coordinate flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical procedures. - Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care. - Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment. - Prepare patients for surgery, including safe and appropriate anatomical positioning. - Perform pre, intra, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment. - Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials from operative procedures. **COMPLIANCE / NOTES** - Call is at least 1 night per week and 1 weekend per schedule. Potentially more based on need. - ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
