About the role
**Title**
Labor & Delivery RN – Labor & Delivery
**Requirements**
- Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Epic charting experience required
- Valid state nursing license (compact license must be active at submission)
- Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
- Preferred: ACLS
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Provide comprehensive care for patients in labor and delivery, including triage and postpartum care.
- Circulate for C-sections and assist in recovery.
- Attend all deliveries and manage high-risk scenarios as needed.
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and use medical technology for pain management and neonatal care.
- Manage medications and infusions such as blood products, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips.
- Assist in GYN surgeries and care for patients in the transition nursery.
**Compliance / Notes**
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day.
- References and background checks are required.
- All scheduling requests must be submitted upfront with submittal.
