Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a Long Term Care facility. This role requires a compassionate individual ready to support patients and assist in their daily activities, ensuring a high standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for residents, including assistance with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Assist in the mobility of residents, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and communal areas.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and implement care plans.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA license in another state or pending Alaska CNA license application.
• Documentation of application for Alaska CNA license must be provided.
• Verification of completion of a formal CNA training program required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a long term care or similar setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• All caregivers must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation on-site.

Work Schedule

Shifts available are 4x12 hours, both day and night shifts. Caregivers are typically assigned to either day or night shifts based on facility needs and will not rotate between shifts. Preferences for scheduling and availability will be discussed during the application process.

Travel Information

This position may include travel assignments of either 26 or 13 weeks. Candidates must be willing to work during holidays and should be prepared for local transportation arrangements provided by the facility.

Additional Information

This assignment guarantees at least 72 hours of work every 2 weeks, with potential for flexibility based on staffing needs. Candidates are required to provide their availability upfront, including any preferred time off.
