Registered Nurse – Home Health

Schedule

Day shifts, typically Monday to Friday, with potential variations including alternate weekend shifts and self-scheduling based on the needs of the Home Health office.

Assignment Details

6-8 skilled home visits per day.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in home health nursing required.
• Must have infusion experience and skilled home care experience; private duty nursing experience only is not accepted.
• OASIS training and experience required.
• IV skills, wound care, and general medical diagnosis experience required.
• Experience with high-risk diagnoses such as heart failure, COPD, myocardial infarction, pneumonia, and stroke required.
• Post-operative care experience required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a car for home visits.
• Certifications: BCLS required.
• Must be COVID vaccinated or have an exemption on file, and must have a flu shot or declination, with mandatory mask wearing at work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiopulmonary assessments and provide basic wound care.
• Perform ABI compression dressing and manage wound vac dressing.
• Provide care for Pleurx/Asept drain, and change Foley catheters.
• Carry out staple and suture removal, glucometer usage, pro-time machine usage, and lab draw via venipuncture.
• Administer SQ/IM injections and provide IV skills, including PICC line or midline care and dressing changes, as well as SQ port access/deaccess.
• Document patient care using designated systems.
