LPN – Medical Surgical

Schedule

Shift hours: 7p-7a or 7a-7p, every other weekend, available to work every other holiday if needed.

Assignment Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks.

Requirements

• Active New York Single State LPN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Acute Care experience within the last 2 years.
• EPIC experience required.
• Must be able to take own patient assignment with RN support.
• Experience with blood product administration, central line management, peripheral line management, phlebotomy, and IV maintenance.
• Experience with oxygen administration, trach care, and feeding tube management.
• Knowledge of protocols for heparin, telemetry, and wound care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support to the medical-surgical unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient status and report significant changes to the nursing team.
• Assist with procedures and maintain patient safety and comfort.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
