LPN – Medical Surgical

Schedule

Shift hours: 7p-7a or 7a-7p, every other weekend, and must be available to work every other holiday if needed. Contract length is 13 weeks.

Assignment Details

Must submit requests for time off and special scheduling upon submission. The client may cancel up to three shifts during the contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.

Requirements

• Must have an active New York Single State LPN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Acute Care experience within the last 2 years.
• EPIC experience required for charting.
• Must have skills in blood product administration, central/peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and IV maintenance.
• Experience with high flow nasal cannula, oxygen administration, trach care, feeding tube management, and telemetry required.
• Ability to use rapid response/code teams and adheres to isolation precautions.

Responsibilities

• Manage own patient assignment with support from RN.
• Provide care for complex medical and surgical patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Participate in patient care discussions and planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health standards.
