Respiratory/Medical-Surgical Nursing - Registered Nurse

Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $52 - $56/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Zanesville, Ohio. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse population of adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders
• Maintain active RN license
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Demonstrate minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips (competency test required on Day 1)
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation (proficiency mandatory; no training or refreshers provided)
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
• Adapt to high-volume, fast-paced environment with rapid patient turnover and varying levels of care needs
• No on-call requirement
