Med-Surg/Telemetry - Registered Nurse

Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $52 - $56/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Zanesville, Ohio. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:

• Work 36 hours per week on a day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) with every other weekend required
• Work primarily on the Med-Surg Ortho/Neuro Unit (1 West) with occasional floating to various Med-Surg units including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation
• Demonstrate current and proficient use of Epic EMR – proficiency must be documented prior to start; refresher classes or 1:1 assistance are not available
• Maintain a minimum of 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience
• Demonstrate ability to read and interpret Telemetry – competency will be tested on day one
• Maintain active BLS certification
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and compliance standards
• Disclose all Requested Time Off (RTO) at the time of submission
• Comply with start date availability requirements (November 4th or November 16th unless returning traveler within 9 months)
• Be aware that the facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract, which are not limited to 12-hour shifts and will be marked on the facility time report
• There is no on-call requirement for this position
