About the role
**Title**: RN – Cardiac Step-Down
**Schedule**: Nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
**Assignment Details**:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of three (3) years of cardiac step-down experience, including heart catheter recovery and cardiac drips, and care for post-operative open-heart patients.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Must have experience with Open-Heart procedures and Epic EMR.
- Comfortable providing care to ventilated patients if necessary.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Provide nursing care for cardiac step-down patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements.
**Compliance / Notes**:
- All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission.
- The facility reserves the right to adjust scheduled hours based on patient census and staffing needs.
