Registered Nurse (RN) - OR

**Title** Registered Nurse – Operating Room **Schedule** - Variable start times (7:00 am, 9:00 am) - Night coverage may be required; shifts typically include 1 RN/1 ST or 2 RNs. - On-call required, distributed every 6 weeks (up to 6–8 call shifts per 6-week period). - Weekends required. **Assignment Details** - Contract Length: Not specified - Guaranteed Hours: Not specified **Requirements** - Valid California RN license required - Certifications: BLS - Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, ortho, general, robotics, GU/GYN, plastics, ENT required - Experience with Epic charting is required - Travel experience is required - First-time travelers accepted **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide patient care in the operating room for diverse surgical procedures. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care. - Prepare and maintain the sterile field, assisting the surgical team as needed. - Assist in the implementation of evidence-based practices and protocols in the OR. - Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and postoperative care. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures. **Compliance / Notes** - Orientation consists of approximately 40 hours. - Personal information required includes SSN, DOB, and copies of certifications. - Travelers may be expected to float to sister facilities; refusal may impact job status. - Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
