Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

**Title** Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit **Schedule** - Shifts: Days/Nights/Weekends - Ratios: 1:3 **Assignment Details** - Census: Approximately 6–7 patients; 14 NICU beds - Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period **Requirements** - License: Active California RN license required - Certifications: BLS, NRP (Advanced NRP preferred) - Experience: Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required; first-time travelers must have at least 4 years’ experience in a Level 3 NICU - Skills: - Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP) - UAC/UVC and arterial line management - Neonatal resuscitation and family teaching - Management of neonatal conditions including hyperbilirubinemia, sepsis workup, and NAS **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates and infants in a Level 3 NICU setting. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver care and treatment plans. - Conduct assessments and monitor vital signs of patients. - Administer medications and IV fluids as per protocols. - Educate families on neonatal care and developmental needs. **Compliance / Notes** - Orientation: 4 hours - RTO: Must be included at time of submission - Holiday Requirement: Commitment to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, New Year’s Day) - Background checks: Any license or background hits must be disclosed at submission.
