Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

**Title** Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery **Schedule** Desired shift: PM support requested Weekends: Must be flexible; weekend requirement depends on contract length Ratios: 2 patients per nurse (days / nights / weekends) Orientation: 24 hours **Assignment Details** Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period **Requirements** - State license: CA license must be in hand - Required certifications: AWHONN Advanced (or C-EFM accepted in lieu), ACLS, BLS, NRP - Years of experience required: Minimum 3 years (with at least 1 year in a similar role) - Travel experience: Required - Patient ratio experience: Typically 2:1 **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients in labor and delivery settings. - Assist with high-risk labor and delivery, including TOLAC/VBAC management. - Support postpartum care and manage complications such as postpartum hemorrhage. - Conduct newborn assessments and facilitate breastfeeding and baby-friendly support. - Administer medications and blood products as needed, following established protocols. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care. **Compliance / Notes** - Requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission. - Documents required at submission include SSN, DOB, LA Fire Card within last 30 days, and references covering 1 year of work. - Holiday commitment: Must commit to working 3 of these 5 holidays — Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day.
