Registered Nurse (RN) - CVOR

**TITLE** CVOR RN – Surgical Services **SCHEDULE** - Regular schedule: Monday–Friday with 1 day off each week (day off may vary) - Post-shift call: 17:00–07:00 (at least 1 post-shift/week) - Weekend call: 24-hour weekend call 07:00–07:00 (at least 1 weekend/month) **ASSIGNMENT DETAILS** - Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period **REQUIREMENTS** - Licensure: Compact license must be in hand at submission - Certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS) - Experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant RN experience (may screen candidates with 3+ years) - Core clinical skills: - CVOR and general OR scrub/technique - Open vascular and endovascular procedures (including TEVAR/EVAR) - Hybrid room experience - Cardiac procedures support (CABG, valve/TAVR exposure, IABP, LVAD) - Cell-saver use, cardiac monitoring, peripheral IV starts - EMR: Experience with Meditech and Epic preferred **ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES** - Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in cardiovascular surgical settings. - Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field during surgical procedures. - Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgical operations. - Monitor patients preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively. - Administer medications and perform interventions as per protocols. - Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record. **COMPLIANCE / NOTES** - Orientation: 20 hours - Refusal to float to nearby sister facilities may affect assignment/guaranteed hours - Must commit to working 3 of the 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day) - References: 2 references covering 1 year (within the last 3 years) required during compliance
