Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

**Title** Registered Nurse – Neuro/Neuro-telemetry **Schedule** - Shift: 12-hour nights - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required **Assignment Details** - Assignment Length: 13 weeks or longer - Daily Census: ~50 - Beds: 55 **Requirements** - Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year direct Med/Surg experience - Traveler experience: Must have 2 successful travel contracts - License: NC or Compact pending acceptable for submittal - Required Certifications: BCLS, NIHSS; ACLS preferred - Clinical Skills: Med/Surg neuro experience, telemetry monitoring (dysrhythmia recognition and management), IV start, basic neuro patient management **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Neuro/Neuro-telemetry setting - Monitor and assess patients' conditions, recognizing and responding to changes in status - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians - Educate patients and families regarding care and procedures **Compliance / Notes** - Strict policies on Request Time Off (RTO) after booking - Call-offs must be made up within the same week or at the end of the contract - Must pass EKG testing prior to start
