Registered Nurse – Cardiac Tele

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks or longer, with the possibility to extend. Weekend requirement of 4 weekend days in a 6-week time track.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Traveler experience: first-time travelers accepted.
• Acceptance of local candidates with a rate difference.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS.
• Skills: Telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac GTT experience, and comfort with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Heparin.
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients requiring telemetry.
• Manage and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Administer cardiac medications and drips as necessary.
• Collaborate with care team and navigate heart failure management.
• Documentation and reporting using electronic systems.
• Float to other telemetry units as required.

Compliance / Notes

Unit orientation includes 36 hours of training. Scrubs are not provided; navy scrubs are required.
