Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

**Title** Registered Nurse – Neuro/Neuro Stepdown **Schedule** 12-hour nights **Assignment Details** Contract length: 13–26 weeks Schedule options accepted: 36 or 48 hours/week **Requirements** - Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year direct Med/Surg - Current BCLS/BLS certification - NIHSS certification - Experience with telemetry monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and dysrhythmia management - IV starts and awareness of peripheral/PICC/central lines - Familiarity with seizure management - Experience with rapid response/code teams and vasoactive/cardiac drips (no titration) - EMR experience with EPIC **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide comprehensive care for adult patients with neurological conditions. - Monitor patient vitals and neurological status, interpreting telemetry data as needed. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapies. - Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and contribute to care plans. - Educate patients and families on care procedures and recovery. - Respond effectively to emergency situations, including patient codes and seizures. **Compliance / Notes** - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. - Floating required to other Med/Surg/Tele areas as needed. - Pre-start testing and EKG testing required within specified timeframe after booking. - Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. - RTO policies must be confirmed with the Account Manager prior to submission. - NC or compact license pending acceptable for submission.
