Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

**Title:** Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Post-Surgical **Schedule:** - Shift: Nights, 18:45–07:15 - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend **Assignment Details:** - Contract length: 13 weeks - Offered hours: 36 or 48 hours/week **Requirements:** - Minimum 2 years clinical RN experience required - Required certification: BLS - Required clinical skills: IV starts and telemetry experience - Charting system: Epic **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric post-operative surgical patients. - Monitor and interpret telemetry data, identifying any dysrhythmias. - Manage IV starts and maintenance, including peripheral, PICC, and central line care. - Administer blood products and provide chest tube/PleurEvac care as needed. - Participate in wound and drain care following surgery, according to established protocols. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including rapid response and specialty services. **Compliance / Notes:** - Must pass EKG testing prior to start. - All required lab/testing must be completed within 48 hours of signing. - Relinquished Time Off (RTO) after booking is restricted; RTO must be pre-approved. - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only).
