Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

**Title:** Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery **Schedule:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Assignment Details:** Contract Length: 8 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week **Requirements:** - 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience - Postpartum and nursery experience - ACLS certification (AHA) - BLS certification (AHA) - NRP certification - BSN degree (preferred) - Active OH or compact license at the time of submission **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments on patients and conduct reassessments according to policy. - Assess and manage pain using appropriate evaluation methods and techniques, educating patients and families on pain management. - Develop, revise, and evaluate plans of care based on patient responses to treatment, ensuring efficacy daily. - Provide patient care that is age-appropriate and in compliance with the standard of care. - Formulate and implement teaching plans based on identified learning needs while evaluating the effectiveness of education. - Maintain a safe environment for patients and families, addressing psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring the coordination of care across departments. **Compliance / Notes:** - Must provide proof of COVID vaccination if applicable. - Maintain annual competencies, including bedside blood glucose waived testing.
