Registered Nurse – Cardiac Tele

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 18:45 - 07:15. Weekend requirement of 8 shifts. Floating is required.

Assignment Details

Contract length can be 13 weeks or longer, with a maximum of 36 or 48 hours offered per week. The unit has an average daily census of 23 and operates with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Experience in cardiac telemetry and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias is essential.
• IV Start proficiency required.
• Knowledge of electronic systems such as EPIC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in a Cardiac Telemetry unit.
• Monitor, interpret, and manage dysrhythmias and other cardiac conditions.
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as per protocols.
• Ensure effective communication with the healthcare team and report changes in patient status.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster teamwork.

Compliance / Notes

Orientation includes 3 days: one day for EPIC training and two days on the unit. RTO policy allows a maximum of 7 days for Aya Auto Offer. EKG testing is required prior to start.
