Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule

Varied start times of 10am, 11am, and 12pm. Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week. Weekend requirement of every third weekend with a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts.

Assignment Details

Contract duration of 13 weeks with a guarantee of 3 shifts per 13 weeks. Cancelled shifts must match the regular shift length.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers not accepted.
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, PALS.
• Skills: Pediatric and psychiatric care, IV therapy, respiratory care, medication management, neurological assessment, and orthopedic management.
• Experience with Epic EMR system required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs in a dynamic environment.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Compliance / Notes

No on-call required; floating between departments may be necessary.
