Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule

12-hour day shifts with a requirement for every other weekend. Floating within Women's Services is expected.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 13 weeks with a maximum of 48 hours per week. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed for auto offers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Certifications: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP.
• Experience in EPIC is required.
• Must be able to recover C-sections.
• Experience with labor inductions, IUFDs, and various drips (Pitocin, magnesium, insulin) is necessary.
• Must have experience managing preterm pregnancies, multiple gestations, preeclampsia, and postpartum hemorrhages.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in labor and delivery.
• Assist with labor inductions and monitor fetal assessments.
• Circulate in the operating room as needed.
• Administer epidurals and manage pain relief options for mothers.
• Perform emergency interventions when necessary.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.
