Registered Nurse – Obstetric Emergency Department

Schedule

13-week contract with a maximum of 7 days of requested time off. Requires working every other weekend and one 12-hour shift per schedule.

Assignment Details

Patient population includes neonates to adults. The average daily census is 15, with a staff-to-patient ratio of 1:3 across 6 rooms.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience not in a teaching facility
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP required
• Ability to complete vaginal exams autonomously
• Experience in circulating and triaging patients
• EMR System: Epic required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the obstetric emergency department
• Perform assessments and manage patient care plans
• Collaborate with healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assist in emergency procedures as needed

Compliance / Notes

Full compliance required to start on time; delays may extend the onboarding process. If two or more major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work the required number of holidays.
