Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)

Assignment Details

Contract length and guaranteed hours per week to be discussed upon application.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing continuous IV medications
• Experience with cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin
• Experience with diuretics such as Bumex and Lasix
• Knowledge of anticoagulants including Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin
• Experience with insulin drips
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience with patient populations ranging from adults to geriatrics

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage patient care in an overflow Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
• Monitor and manage cardiac arrhythmias and CHF patients
• Administer medications and IV therapies as per protocols
• Participate in patient assessments and care planning
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes
• Handle occasional vascular and post-cardiac catheterization patients

Compliance / Notes

Full compliance required to start on time; orientation details will be provided. Maximum time off (RTO) of 7 days per contract. Weekend and holiday work is expected; specifics will be discussed during the application process.
