Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) works collaboratively with other healthcare team members to assess patient needs, provide appropriate interventions, and implement patient and family education. This role is vital in ensuring high-quality care for patients in the Cancer Center.

Minimum Qualifications

• Required:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN, ASN, AAS, AAN).
  • Current Montana Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN, BAN).
  • Oncology Certified Nurse.
  • Experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record operating systems.

Essential Job Functions

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation (Assessment).
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis).
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
• Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care).
• Implement the identified plan of care.
• Employ strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment.
• Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Maintain knowledge and competency in current nursing practices.
• Evaluate nursing practice in relation to professional standards and guidelines.
• Contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and others in nursing practice.
• Integrate ethical provisions in all areas of practice.
• Apply research findings to practice.
• Provide leadership in the professional setting and the nursing profession.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule Requirements

This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond the standard workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
