Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient

**Title:** Oncology Nurse **Schedule:** Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM **Assignment Details:** Contract Weeks: 8 Guaranteed Hours: 40.00 **Requirements:** - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred - Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required - Oncology Nursing Certification (ONC) or Chemotherapy Immunotherapy (CHIM): Required - At least two years recent experience in the field - Current Epic experience **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in the oncology department. - Conduct baseline assessments and nursing histories, including vital signs and medication history. - Assess patients for risk factors and communicate findings to the healthcare team. - Monitor patients for signs and symptoms of side effects from treatments. - Assist physicians with procedures and maintain a clean and organized exam room. - Administer medications and perform blood draws as directed by the physician. - Act as a resource for patients regarding transportation, scheduling, and medical issues.
