About the role
**Title:** Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical
**Schedule:**
- 12-hour shifts - Days (0645 to 1915)
- Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation.
**Assignment Details:**
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: None
**Requirements:**
- Active State of HI license required by start of assignment.
- 2-10 years of nursing experience.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC).
- Experience with Meditech EMR, pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes is preferred.
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in medical and surgical units.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
**Compliance / Notes:**
- Must arrive the Thursday before start for employee health appointment on Friday.
- Dress Code: Professional nursing attire - clean scrubs.
