About the role
**Title:** Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
**Schedule:** Days (0645-1915) every other weekend
**Assignment Details:**
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
**Requirements:**
- Current unencumbered RN license in Oregon
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required
- NRP and STABLE certifications preferred
- Basic Fetal Monitoring skills required
- Previous experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods for mothers and newborns.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.
- Monitor maternal and fetal health throughout the labor process, utilizing appropriate assessment skills and techniques.
- Educate patients and families about childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Implement and follow established protocols for GYN surgical care as necessary.
