Registered Nurse – PCU

Schedule

Night shifts, 4x12 hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Assignment Details

Ratios: 1:3-5 for days and weekends; 1:3-7 for nights. Every other weekend required. May float to corresponding sister units.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years
• Traveler experience accepted; 1st timers welcome
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (PALS, TCAR preferred)
• Skill set: MS/Tele, Telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV and PCA management, tracheostomy management, wound care, and various post-operative care tasks
• Experience with EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR systems

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a mixed acuity setting for PCU and MS Tele patients
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and lab values to assess patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as per facility protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Facilitate post-operative care and manage care for a variety of surgical and trauma patients
