Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Minimum experience required: 2 years. The unit does not accept first-time travelers.

Requirements

• Active registered nursing license
• Experience with cardiac telemetry
• Skills in TEE, cardioversions, stress tests, and pacemaker management
• Knowledge of conditions like NSTEMI/STEMI, AMI, Afib, CHF, Bradycardia

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients for cardiac complications and changes in status
• Provide care to patients undergoing left/right heart catheterizations
• Perform and interpret results from stress tests
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions and treatments

Compliance / Notes

Full compliance is required to start on time; failure to meet compliance may result in a two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. If assigned to a major holiday, the traveler is expected to work it, with additional expectations if multiple holidays fall within the assignment period.
