Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract position. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Hours Per Week: 36-hour guarantee

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required.
• Experience with MEDITECH software is mandatory.
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Critical Care experience and charge nursing experience are preferred.
• Ability to effectively identify and intervene in life-threatening situations.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and quality patient care standards.
• Strong assessment skills for clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual patient needs.
• Recognize and mitigate safety issues for self and others, including proper patient lifting techniques.
• Ability to function under stressful situations with creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership abilities, with skills in prioritizing and delegating tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and become defibrillation certified within six months of hire.
• Certification in IV therapy, medication administration, and phlebotomy required during orientation.
