Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Emergency Room (ER) and Medical/Surgical Swing Unit. The ideal candidate will provide essential patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
• Pass food trays and assist with feeding as necessary.
• Perform basic patient assessments and report findings to the charge nurse.
• Support turning and repositioning of patients to prevent bedsores.
• Engage and accompany patients in walking sessions as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

Shift Information

• Shift Type: Night Shift
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA.
• Ability to work flexibly and float as required between units.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: ER (Emergency Room) and Medical/Surgical Swing Unit
• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Ratio: 1 CNA to 15 patients
• Unit Orientation: Yes, specific to the unit.

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with the 50-mile radius rule.
• No clinical involvement required prior to start.
