Registered Nurse (RN) - Same Day Surgery

**Title** Registered Nurse – Same Day Surgery **Schedule** 36- or 40-hour schedule; Late-day shifts required **Requirements** - Minimum 2 years of RN experience - Charting system experience: Epic required - Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred - Clinical skills: Scrub and circulate in a broad range of OR cases, experience with blood product administration, starting peripheral IVs, specimen handling, and code response - Familiarity with universal protocol/time-outs and infection control **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide direct patient care in a same-day surgery environment. - Scrub and circulate for a wide range of surgical procedures including general, gynecological, orthopedic, urological, ENT, plastics, bariatric, laparoscopic, and endoscopic cases. - Administer blood products and manage peripheral IV access. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Participate in code response and adhere to safety protocols, including infection control. - Ensure thorough documentation in the electronic medical record using Epic. **Compliance / Notes** - Orientation: 40 hours - Vaccinations: Influenza vaccination required; medical exemptions only.
