About the role
**Title**
Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
**Schedule**
Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Nights)
**Assignment Details**
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
**Requirements**
- Active nursing license in the state
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU
- Experience with EMR: EPIC
- Skills checklist matching specialty required
- NURSYS report for license verification with active NY license & all RN licenses required
- RTO (Request Time Off) must be included at time of submission
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
- Support the use of critical care equipment and assist with procedures as needed.
