Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

**Title:** Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit **Schedule:** - Weekend requirement: Minimum 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. **Assignment Details:** - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week **Requirements:** - License: Active RN license required (Missouri or compact license). - Experience: 1–2 years in PCU/Med-Surg/Telemetry or equivalent. - Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred. - EMR: Experience with Epic preferred. - Unit-specific skills: - Telemetry and cardiac monitoring including dysrhythmia interpretation. - Knowledge of sepsis management, wound care, renal failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, and care of patients with alcohol withdrawal or suicidal ideation. - Ability to manage pre/post cardiac catheterization and AFIB. **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care setting. - Monitor and assess patients' conditions, implementing care plans as necessary. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. - Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. **Compliance / Notes:** - RTO (Request Time Off): Max 7 days for offer; all RTO must be finalized at submission. - Orientation: 12 hours. - Infusion pump and glucometer training must be completed before the start date.
