Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

**Title** Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit **Schedule** - Ratios: 1:5 (days, nights, weekends) - Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (combination of Fri/Sat/Sun) - Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks - Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit **Assignment Details** - Contract Length: 13 weeks **Requirements** - Minimum 2 years RN experience required - Licensure: Must have both Kansas and Missouri licenses or a compact license - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Epic charting experience required - Skills: Cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, post-cardiac care, hemodialysis management, CVA care, tracheostomy care, and wound care **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide nursing care in a progressive care unit setting, focusing on adult and geriatric patients. - Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and responding to potential complications. - Administer medications, including cardiac drips, and manage IV therapy. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Participate in rapid response and code team as needed. - Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management. **Compliance / Notes** - Orientation: 12 hours - Pre-start modules: Remaining compliance modules (10–15 hours) due 1 week prior to start - Required documentation due 2 Fridays before start date - Maximum Request Time Off (RTO): 7 days for offer
