Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

**Title:** Registered Nurse - Surgical Oncology **Schedule:** - Shift: 12-hour Days/Nights rotating **Assignment Details:** - Duration: 16 weeks **Requirements:** - Minimum 2 years RN experience required - Required: PCU work experience - Hard requirement: current acute care experience in the specialty (working consistently within the last 12 months) - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics recovering from surgical oncology procedures. - Monitor and manage patients in a mixed acuity environment, including PCU and Med-Surg patients. - Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions. - Perform blood transfusions and manage IV antibiotics. - Recognize and manage oncologic emergencies, including dysrhythmias. - Assist with post-operative care and telemetry monitoring. **Compliance / Notes:** - Orientation: 72 hours - Pre-approved time off: one request permitted - Must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
