Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

**Title** Registered Nurse – Surgical Oncology **Schedule** - Shift: 12-hour Days/Nights rotating **Assignment Details** - Duration: 16 weeks **Requirements** - Minimum 2 years RN experience - Current acute care experience in the specialty (within the last 12 months) - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients recovering from surgical oncology procedures. - Administer medications, including chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin and heparin drips. - Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac telemetry, recognizing and managing dysrhythmias. - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Manage oncologic emergencies and perform general post-operative surgical care. - Educate patients and their families on care procedures and post-operative recovery. **Compliance / Notes** - Orientation: 72 hours - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
