About the role
**Title**
Registered Nurse – Surgical Oncology
**Schedule**
Shift: Day/Night or Nights (rotating possible)
**Assignment Details**
Length: 16 weeks
**Requirements**
- Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience required
- Current PCU work experience in specialty (must be recent/active within last 12 months)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a surgical oncology and med-surg/PCU setting.
- Administer chemotherapy and manage oncology emergencies.
- Conduct blood transfusions and administer IV antibiotics as needed.
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias.
- Manage respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
**Compliance / Notes**
- Orientation: 72 hours
