Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

**SHIFT** 1900-0730 **ASSIGNMENT DETAILS** Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 **REQUIREMENTS** - Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience required - ICU and PCU experience preferred - Skills in IV insertion, PICC/Central Line management, vascular device access/care, and dialysis fistula care/management - Airway management with CPAP/BiPAP and trach care required - Experience with epidural/PCA pumps, feeding tubes, and wound vacs required - Ability to obtain 12 lead EKG preferred - Ability to perform sheath removal and cardioversion/defibrillation preferred - Vasoactive drip titration knowledge required **ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES** - Provide advanced nursing care in a stepdown unit - Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care - Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatments - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records **COMPLIANCE / NOTES** - May be downstaffed to 36/48 hours based on weekly schedule
