Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

**Title** Registered Nurse – Cardiac Care **Schedule** Day 12x3 **Assignment Details** Guaranteed Hours: 36 Weekly Contract Weeks: 13 **Requirements** - Minimum 2 years of documented experience in a progressive care unit (PCU) or intermediate care unit (IMCU) in a similar sized facility. - Experience with cardiac populations, including STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain (C/P). - Proficient with cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the cardiac unit, monitoring vital signs and managing complex cardiac conditions. - Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for cardiac patients. - Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment options, and ongoing care needs. - Assess patient progress and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions. - Maintain accurate documentation to reflect patient care and treatments in compliance with facility standards.
