Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

**Title** RN – PACU **Schedule** Monday – Friday Primarily 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM with some 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM shifts Closed nights, weekends, and holidays **Assignment Details** Contract Length: 12 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40/week **Requirements** - Minimum: 1 year critical care/ICU experience or Level I Trauma Center PACU experience - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS - Preferred: TNCC - Must pass EKG exam - Experience with pre-op and Phase I/II post-op care **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide care for patients in pre-op and post-anesthesia recovery phases. - Conduct EKG rhythm analysis and manage dysrhythmias. - Administer blood products and conduct transfusions as necessary. - Perform phlebotomy and start intravenous lines. - Manage complex postoperative patients, including those with drains, vasoactive drips, and on mechanical ventilation. **Compliance / Notes** - Flu vaccine is required (medical/religious exemptions only). - Missouri or compact license required for hire; pending license accepted. - Compliance deadlines for documents/modules/labs required pre-start. - Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing for any required protocols.
