Registered Nurse (RN) - Newborn Nursery

**Title** Registered Nurse – NICU **Schedule** Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour Nights) **Assignment Details** Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Not specified **Requirements** - 3-4 years of nursing experience, including at least 2 years in NICU or Special Care Nursery (SCN) - Previous NICU or Level 2 SCN experience required - Postpartum experience preferred, but not required - Cerner experience preferred **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide nursing care to neonates in the special care nursery - Assist in deliveries and attend vaginal births and cesarean sections - Start neonate IVs and manage infants on C-PAP and tube feedings - Administer surfactant via LMA to appropriate candidates - Assist in managing withdrawal symptoms from substance abuse in neonates **Compliance / Notes** - Float to postpartum or pediatrics if needed, but not likely for travelers - Nurses are trained in both postpartum and SCN or labor and delivery
