Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

**Title:** Registered Nurse – Orthopedic/Neuro Trauma **Schedule:** - Shift: 12-hour nights - Weekend requirement: Assigned every other weekend **Assignment Details:** - Daily census: ~32 - Target ratios: 1:5-6 **Requirements:** - RN with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience in the last 5 years - Active RN license (NC or compact pending acceptable for submittal) - BLS certification - EPIC documentation experience required - Skills: Heparin drips, PCA, blood product administration, central/PICC/peripheral line care, IV starts, phlebotomy, wound care, chest tubes, surgical drains, colostomy care, feeding tubes **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Provide direct patient care and interventions - Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management - Monitor patient status and report changes to the healthcare team - Document patient data and care plans accurately in the electronic medical record **Compliance / Notes:** - Orientation: 12-hour unit orientation + 16 hours organizational education - Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved for offers (no holidays); no RTO during the first week; must work 2 of 3 major holidays - Must pass EKG testing prior to starting for this specialty - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) - Completion of lab/testing within 48 hours after signing is required - Pre-start modules must be completed per facility policy
