Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

**Title** Neuro Med-Surg Nurse – Adult **Schedule** Shift: Days Full-time schedule options: 36 or 48 hours/week (OT billed after 48) Weekend expectation: 12–16 shifts per contract (flexible) **Assignment Details** Contract length: 13–26 weeks accepted Patient ratio: 1:5–6 **Requirements** - Minimum 2 years of clinical experience - Previous charge experience: preferred - Neuro experience: preferred (neuro surgical procedures and neuro diagnoses) - Required: BCLS (BLS) - Preferred: NIHSS - Other commonly listed: ACLS, CPI (as applicable) - Key clinical skills: - Neuro care (preferred), telemetry experience - IV starts / peripheral line care - Non-invasive airway management, nasal cannula - Isolation precautions / PPE - Stroke/CVA familiarity **Compliance / Notes** - Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved (no holidays) - No RTO during the first week - All RTO must be pre-approved - Must work 2 of 3 major holidays - COVID-19 vaccine: Not required - Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions only) - Pre-start modules required (conducted online) - Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty - Lab/testing requirement: Must complete within 48 hours after signing - Disaster response: Contract staff will work during mass casualty/disaster events
