About the role
**Title**
Registered Nurse – General Neuro
**Schedule**
3 x 12-hour days
**Requirements**
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Patient ratio experience: 6 patients
- Charting system experience: Epic (required)
- Required certifications: NIHSS, BLS
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients with neurology and neurosurgical diagnoses.
- Monitor patients utilizing telemetry and oximetry.
- Administer medications, blood products, and perform wound care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient needs.
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and health management strategies.
**Compliance / Notes**
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Weekend requirement: Half of contract
- State or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
