**Title**
Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry
**Schedule**
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour
**Assignment Details**
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Census/Capacity: Up to 16 patients
**Requirements**
- License: State or Compact license required
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS preferred
- Years of experience: 2 years required
- EMR: Experience with Epic required
- Skills:
- Med/Surg & Telemetry care
- Telemetry monitoring; dysrhythmia recognition/management
- IV skills: start/maintain IVs, peripheral/PICC management, central line blood draws
- Respiratory support: HFNC, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration
- Renal/hemodialysis support: pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care
- Wound care (including Wound VAC), ostomy care, feeding tube management
- Blood product administration, insulin/PCA management
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Provide nursing care to adult patients with vascular disease diagnoses in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and manage dysrhythmias appropriately.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform wound care and manage ostomy and feeding tube needs.
- Respond to rapid response team calls and participate in code blue situations.
**Compliance / Notes**
- RTO requests must be listed at the time of submittal.
- Orientation modules are completed onsite; average duration is 4-6 hours (non-billable).
- Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
- All onboarding items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
