Registered Nurse – Orthopedics

Schedule

NIGHTS - 12HR: 7P-7A / 7A-7P rotation, 36 and 48 hours available per week. 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other week. Must work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Assignment Details

Contract Duration: 16 weeks. Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week.

Requirements

• Active NY RN license
• 2 years recent acute medical-surgical, telemetry, neuro, and orthopedic experience
• NIH and AHA BLS certification
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates
• Must be flexible according to the needs of the facility's schedule
• Must be willing to float to other units if needed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to assigned patients.
• Monitor patient health and document vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
