Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

**TITLE** Med-Surg / Telemetry RN – Registered Nurse **SCHEDULE** - 48-hour shifts approved - Must work every other weekend - Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays **ASSIGNMENT DETAILS** - Contract Length: 21–26 weeks possible - Guaranteed Hours: Varies **REQUIREMENTS** - Valid state license - 2 years of nursing experience (travel experience required) - Certifications: BLS - Charting: Epic - Key clinical skills: - Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation - IV therapy, PIV/PICC care and management, phlebotomy - Cardiac/vasoactive drips (management only) - High-flow nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management - Tracheostomy care and suctioning - Feeding tube and ostomy care - Wound care and early mobilization - Renal failure care, insulin administration protocols **ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES** - Provide nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical and telemetry units. - Monitor patient vitals, interpret telemetry readings, and manage IV therapies. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and manage patient care plans. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system. - Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning. **COMPLIANCE / NOTES** - Background checks required; specific facility screening applies. - Scrub policy: Any color scrubs accepted; unit-specific scrubs provided when applicable. - COVID-19 vaccine not required.
